Survivor Nicaragua: A Champion is Crowned

Image
Good day my friends, I must say that I have loved each and every season of Survivor so far. To me there has never been a bad season.  Oh sure we have had bad episodes here and there and the occasionally dull episode where virtually nothing happens, but each season to me has been a gem to be cherished.  After all, this cannot last forever. So it was with both excitement and hesitation that I approached last night’s finale.  Excited to see how it ended and hesitant to allow it to end because I knew it would be a while before a new episode.  I was also hesitant to have to sit through the dreaded tribute to the fallen comrades.  I’d rather the producers spend some more time on something else (like maybe a wet t-shirt contest with Kelly as the only contestant) because that always seems to be the low point of each season. The season came to an end with Fabio playing his A game.  The first challenge of the night was to answer some fairly simple trivia questions and then complete a puzz

Survivor Nicaragua: Fabio's Mom is Hot

Good day my friends, Did you enjoy the next to last episode of Survivor this season?  I sure did.  Kelly looked super hot in the jury at tribal council and we learned that Fabio has a hot mom.  We also learned that Chase is a completely clueless buffoon and Jane is a big whiny baby.  But, as usual we will start at the beginning. Naturally it was time for product placement with a phone from Sprint. It’s that time in the show where we all get a little weepy.  That’s right; it’s the messages from home.  So we knew that a family member for each of our tribe mates will be there at the rewards challenge.  Chase and Fabio had a meaningful discussion on how they both really love their mothers.  Chase promised Fabio that he would take him and Sash with him on the reward if he should win.  Now, we all know from last week’s episode that Chase honoring a promise is as rare as Sarah Palin saying something intelligent so there is no way that Fabio would believe him, right? At the

The Amazing Race: Hi, I'm Sorry. I'm in a Race

Good day my friends, Another season of The Amazing Race has come to a close and I have to say that I really enjoyed it.  Not just because there were a lot of hot women this season, but also because there was no team that I just completely hated.  I know a lot of people enjoy it when a season has a good villain, but I like it best when they are all at least somewhat likable.  True, I did not care for Chad at all as he was quite the spiteful jerk, but I liked Stephanie.  And I never liked Thomas this season, but Jill was so cute and sweet that I could not hate the team.  Thomas was such a putz in his attitude and the way he treated her that it was tough to like him.  So overall we had three final teams and only one jerk left and that jerk was Thomas. But I am getting ahead of myself here.  Since I have never recapped AR before let me bring you non-viewers up to speed.  Last night started in Seoul South Korea with the final three teams:  Evil Thomas and hot babe Jill, the

Good day my friends, Last night we had the return of Kelly at tribal council and I was right, she really does clean up very nicely.  However, she was trumped by the incredible and revealing dress worn by Alina.  I really think that Alina was saving this dress up for when Kelly was eliminated. And oh yeah, NaOnka was there too, but she is so ugly on the inside that it is difficult to look past that.  But, enough about that for now, we really need to go back to the beginning. Is it just me or is Sash getting to look more and more like a skeleton as the season wears on?  The guy is starting to frighten me as he looks quite similar to the skeletons in the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction.  Seriously, have the guy grab the wheel of a pirate ship, throw in some thunder and lightning and you have Sash the Skeleton. Well, maybe he’d have to shave off the beard to pull it off, but still. As our tribe returned to camp they were so angry about both Kelly and NaO

Good day my friends, Angry. I am angry about what happened last night. I don’t understand it and I cannot explain it, but I will certainly try. The only good thing about last night was that we finally got some extended screen time for my fair Kelly. Oh, do you think I am angry about people quitting the game? No, I am angry about the incredibly blatant product placement, but more on that in a bit. As the tribe returned from tribal council Kelly said she was confused and did not know what was going on. I think if anything is clear from every episode we have seen thus far it is that Kelly has never had any idea what was going on, but she was specifically referring to the ouster of Brenda. Then it rained. And it rained and it rained and it rained. The deluge. There was so much rains that a raging river appeared in front of the camp. Kelly was cold. NaOnka was cold and far worse, her ass hurt. They spoke of quitting, but surely no one would quit with a mere 11 days stand

The Scrambled Egg Cafe

Good day my friends, It is a rarity when I go out to breakfast, yet it is one of my favorite times to go out to eat.  There’s something about the smell of a restaurant at breakfast time that makes me smile.  Whether it be bacon, sausage, home fries or pancakes the smells are terrific.  Recently I found a wonderful place in Indian Harbour Beach that I must share with you:  The Scrambled Egg Café. The Scrambled Egg Café is located in a little shopping plaza and can be a bit tough to find as it does not face the road, but it is a hidden gem well worth the effort to find.  When I walked in I was immediately enveloped by the delicious smells of breakfast.  I was told that the place gets very crowded on the weekends, but we got there early so there was no problem getting a table.  They have seating both indoors and out, but we chose to dine indoors due to the humidity this particular morning. We were immediately greeted by our server, Sarah, and we told her that we had fou
