Sir Griffin's Look at the Fall Schedule: CBS

It is time for Sir Griffin to take a look at the shows that will be offered by the CBS television network.  My apologies for taking so long in my fall previews, but I am doing my best and hopefully will have it all said and done before the new shows begin.  But even if I do not you really can’t complain because I do this for free for your pleasure.  So let’s begin our look at CBS with

Partners –  From the creators of Will & Grace comes a show about two men; one gay and one straight.  They have been friends since childhood and are now business partners and still best of friends.  The show delves into their lives as they both begin new relationships.  I have to say that I was a huge Will & Grace fan and the preview for this show indicates I will love this one as well.  It looks funny and appears to have the same wacky charm/  Plus, there is a dog named Elphaba and you can never go wrong there.  The show stars David Krumholtz (The Santa Clause) and Sohpia Bush (One Tree Hill) as one couple and Michael Urie (Ugly Betty) and Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) as the other.  This show looks like a real treat.  Chance of me watching - 100%

Elementary – Johnny Lee Miller stars as Sherlock Holmes and Lucy Liu shines as Dr. Watson in this marvelous update of the cases of Sherlock Holmes.  Now living in New York City, Holmes is a former addict who comes to the city from Scotland Yard to check into a rehab center.  Dr.Joan Watson is his newly sober companion.  Together they solve crimes in the unique fashion that only Holmes and Watson could.  This show looks smart, intelligent and has a bit of humor.  All in all a great combination.  Chance of me watching - An emphatic 100%

Vegas - Vega$ stars Robert Urich as Detective Dan Tanna….what’s that?
Robert Urich is dead?  It’s not 1978?  This is a different show?  Well now I am really confused.  Let’s try this again.  Vegas stars Dennis Quaid as Sheriff Ralph Lamb, a former rancher who is serving as the Clark County sheriff in the 1960’s.  The basic plot is Lamb dealing with Chicago mobster Vincent Savino, played by Michael Chiklis.  Are you still awake?  Hello?  Anyone?  Bueller?  Bueller?  Chances of me watching?  Diddly squat.

Made in Jersey – The Beautiful & Sexy Janet Montgomery (Human Target) stars as Martina Garretti, a fresh out of law school and streetwise Jersey girl joining the Bridge & Tunnel crowd and attempting to make it in a powerful law firm in Manhattan.  That's pretty much all I needed to know.  Although I find Montgomery very appealing and Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks) is one one of my favorite actors I just have never been able to get into legal shows.  They're just not my thing.  Chances of me watching - Probably less than 5%

Golden Boy – (Mid-Season)  Again, no preview was available, but I think I can make my decision based on this ever so brief premise:  A crime drama about the rise of a police officer from rookie cop to detective and ultimately police commissioner.  If this show involved Batman and Commissioner Gordon I'd have an interest.  Chances of me watching - About the same as me voting for Romney; Zero!

The Job – (Mid-season)  This is the story of a prostitute who is exceptional at...what?  That's not right?  Again, my apologies.  Seriously this is a reality show hosted by Lisa Ling.  It features five contestants who are all vying for a once in a lifetime chance for their dream job.  I think I fell asleep typing that.  Chances of be watching - Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Friend Me - (Mid-season) A sitcom about two guys that move from Indiana to L.A. to work for Groupon. There was not much more available on this show and no preview.  I will say that I like comedies, but a comedy about Groupon sounds about as exciting as a drama about a Magic 8 Ball.  I really cannot make a judgement yet.  Chances of me watching - Undetermined

So there you have it my friends; the CBS fall schedule.  Which shows will you be watching?
