Starbucks Gingerbread Latte

Good day my friends,

As some of you already know I love Starbucks.  I enjoy Starbucks so much I am the proud owner of a Starbucks gold card.  It gives me certain perks on coffee and any big fan should have one.  I am not there every day because Sir Griffin frankly cannot afford it, but I am there at least once a week. 

As it happens, I received an email from Starbucks last night telling me my favorite holiday beverage has returned:  The Gingerbread Latte.  For the uninformed, the latte is espresso with steamed milk and gingerbread flavored syrup, topped with sweetened whipped cream and nutmeg.  However, I usually have them hold the nutmeg and instead put caramel Brulée topping on top instead.  It is a taste sensation that I look forward to every year at this time. 

Now they also have the Caramel Brulée Latte which is espresso and steamed milk flavored with caramel Brulée sauce, topped with sweetened whipped cream and the aforementioned caramel Brulée topping.  Now Sir Griffin has not yet tried this, but feels that he must this year.  It looks good and sounds good, so why not?  I just hate the idea of going in and getting something other than my favorite.  I kind of feel I am being disloyal to the gingerbread.  When I do try the caramel I will give you an update.

So get yourself out this holiday season and give one a try.  And I’ll give you one more tip:  from November 18th – 21st from 2 – 5 PM you can buy one and get one free.  Bring a friend or go ahead and try one of each.  I hope you will not be disappointed.

Good day my friends, Rules of Engagement is far from the most sophisticated television show, but it’s funny.  And really, don’t we need to laugh a little every day?  ROE is a show about two couples, one married & the other engaged, and their lecherous single friend.  Last night’s episode was particularly amusing despite the fact that the very best part of the show was missing.  No Jennifer?  What’s going on? Subway's Big Hot Pastrami Melt

Subway I know what you are asking yourselves; why in the world is Sir Griffin writing about Subway?  I mean seriously, Subway?  I mean it seems like you are never far from a Subway.  There are two Subways near my place of work.  There are three Subways within an equal distance from my house, just in different directions.  And Subway has always bothered me by hoarding napkins and putting as few onions as possible on my sandwich, but yet I go back.  I beg for more onions.  I plead for more napkins.  Why the hell can’t they have a napkin dispenser up by the sodas?  I can drink as much soda or tea as I can, yet I can only have two lousy napkins.  So why am I writing about Subway?  I will tell you. Survivor Caramoan: Shamar is an Ass

Every season of Survivor needs a good villain. And by villain I mean someone that you just love to hate. Richard Hatch was such a villain. Jerri Manthey was a good villain. So was Coach and so was Russell Hantz. Even Phillip made a good villain, even though he is now more of a cartoon character than villain. You root against them, but at the same time it’s kind of good to have them around for a long time as they add so much to the show’s dynamic. Think about it; if you don’t have Snidely Whiplash to torment Nell then you have no Dudley Do-Right. It’s just the way it is. But this season is different. We have Shamar and he is not a good villain. I am not even sure if he is a bad villain. I think he’s just a clueless asshole with incredible anger issues. He serves no purpose on the show whatsoever. He’s not a hero and not a villain. He’s not likeable in the least and he appears to be despised by everyone except Sherri, who sees him as a cranky teenager working
